This Warden viewed 2 primary enclosures that did not provide the minimum amount of floor space required.

This Warden viewed one (1) primary enclosure with bedding that appeared to be set from urine/water indicating the enclosure was not clean.

This Warden viewed an accumulation of excreta under the outside exercise enclosures of all the dogs in the kennel building indicating they were not cleaned within a few days. The kennel owner started cleaning the outside once this Warden arrived on the premises. This Warden directs the kennel owner to take the following: The buildings and grounds of kennels shall be maintained, kept clean and in good repair to protect the animal from injury and to facilitate practices required by this chapter. Kennels shall have an effective program that controls ingress by insects, ectoparasites and avian and mammalian pests. Evidence of insects, ectoparasites and avian and mammalian pests or conditions that would allow or encourage infestation in a kennel are indicative of an ineffective program and unsanitary environmental sanitation in the kennel.

This Warden viewed kennel records that were not orderly and not complete. The total number of dogs transferred for the calendar year 2022 could not be verified. This Warden gave the kennel owner some ideas on how to keep/maintain the kennel records for future inspections.

The kennel owner complied with the 72 hour vet check ordered during this inspection.

Warden found that one dog within the kennel did not have current rabies vaccination booster as shown on the paperwork provided.
