A veterinary examination was ordered on one dog under Section 402(a) based on the Warden’s observation of a smaller left eye on a poodle type dog. The kennel was in compliance with Section 402(d) because the veterinary examination was completed within the 72-hour time frame.

The kennel owner complied with the 72 hour vet check ordered during this inspection.

This Warden viewed multiple primary enclosures currently housing dogs that had a slight accumulation of oil/dirt on some dog doors. The kennel appeared to need a good general cleaning.

This Warden viewed a puppy enclosure housing dogs that had a buildup of excreta under the outside exercise area provided.

This Warden also viewed a buildup of weeds/grass along many outside exercise areas that were currently housing dogs.

This Warden noted there were 2 primary enclosures in the main kennel that did not meet the minimum size requirements for the size of the dogs being housed. The kennel was full and there was no other primary enclosure available to relocate them.

This Wardens viewed records indicating the kennel owner failed to have all the dogs in the kennel examined by a veterinarian at least once every 6 months as required.

A veterinary examination was ordered on (5) dogs under section 402(a) based on wardens’ observations of the condition of dogs during an inspection. Kennel is in compliance with section 402(d) because the veterinary examination was completed within the 72 hour timeframe.

Wardens viewed that there were many readings on the Kestrel Drop above 85 degrees Fahrenheit without meeting additional requirements.

Warden viewed that the kennel veterinary exam was 10 days overdue.

Wardens viewed that there were many readings on the Kestrel Drop over 70% humidity.

Wardens viewed two primary enclosures that housed multiple dogs which did not meet the minimum amount of floor space as required in this section.

Warden observed incomplete records for dogs being kept in the kennel.

This warden observed 1 adult dog that did not have current rabies vaccinations.

Warden viewed that the kennel owner did not have an engineer certification of the kennel ventilation system present for a second building on the kennel property that was housing adult dogs over 12 weeks of age.

Warden observed water receptacles that were contaminated with algae and other debris.

Warden viewed a buildup of dust and spiderwebs on multiple surfaces throughout the kennel buildings which encourages pests and contributes to poor sanitary conditions. As well as grime along the kennel walls.

Warden observed incomplete records for dogs being kept in the kennel.

This warden observed 1 adult dog that did not have current rabies vaccinations.

Warden viewed dogs over 12 weeks of age in one enclosure that did not have enough space for all the dogs housed in said enclosure.

Warden viewed dogs over 12 weeks of age on flooring that had spaces between them that were more than 0.5 inch in width.

Warden viewed dogs over 12 weeks of age in one enclosure not having enough space in exercise area for the number of dogs in the enclosure.

Warden viewed that the kennel owner did not have an engineer certification of the kennel ventilation system present for a second building on the kennel property that was housing adult dogs over 12 weeks of age.
