There is a female Shihtzu #218 that has an injured left eye that is dark red in color and swollen and very bloodshot in the throughout the white of the eye, and in the center of the eyeball. There is a small circular protrusion in the center of the eye that could be a tear or possible puncture that could be the source of the injury or result. This is possibly a recent injury and had not been observed by the licensee until the inspection, and has not been treated. This same female had a large buildup of brown material on her teeth, with swollen and red gums due to inflammation. There were 2 areas on the gums where they were bleeding slightly around two teeth due to inflammation. It is important that all injuries are identified as soon as possible and proper diagnosis and treatment is provided to decrease the pain or discomfort to the animal. The licensee needs to contact the attending veterinarian for proper diagnosis and treatment of the eye. To be corrected by: July 9, 2015

There are several puppy records that are missing the dates sold on the record sheets required for record management.

The Disposition 7006 forms are missing the name and address information on the commercial shipper area of the record forms, and color descriptions of animals sold.

In pens 2 and 6 on the north side of back yard kennel that have flooring that needs to be secured together where 2 floor sections come together. The floor sections have a 1/2 inch to 1 inch gap when stepped on that pulls them apart where a dogs toes or foot could get caught.

There are 3 primary enclosures in the whelping building that have wire patches over existing repairs on the floors where the pointed wire ends are protruding into the enclosure.

There is a golden retriever, 2yr old, M, (Clifford, 2558) that has a wound or growth approximately 2in x .5 inches long on the inside lower left lip. The area is swollen and pink. The growth had not been observed in the past three weeks since the last heartworm treatment, resulting in no veterinary diagnosis or direction at the time of the inspection. The dog was in good condition and did not appear to be in any discomfort, however the growth/injury needs to be seen by a veterinarian. The lack of timely veterinary care can cause a treatable condition to become chorinc and/or cause unnecessary dicomfort to the regulated animal. A veterinarian must be contacted for proper diagnosis and treatment.
