  • Male Sheltie exposed tooth roots

    Male Sheltie with USDA tag #18 has teeth with exposed roots. The gums have receded forming pockets which have collected a grey/green fluid. In some areas the gums appear reddened and swollen. Dental conditions are painful and may lead to disease in other body systems. Licensee must utilize appropriate methods to prevent, control, diagnose, and treat diseases and injuries. This dog must be examined by a licensed veterinarian for diagnosis and treatment. Documentation of the veterinarian's assessment, treatment, and plan shall be maintained for examination by APHIS officials. Correct by: November 7, 2015
