• Incomplete emergency plan

  The facility has an underdeveloped contingency plan that does not clearly identify a chain of command, identify specific events that would trigger the plan or specific tasks to be carried out in response, nor has annual review been documented. Failure to develop a complete contingency plan may result in poor response to emergencies that can negatively affect animal welfare. Each dealer must develop, document and follow an appropriate contingency plan that includes elements listed in this subpart. To be corrected by 03 September 2026.

• Kennels with excessive rust

  Two separate kennels for two adult male dogs "Champ" (microchip: 990000006746719) & "Eaton" (microchip: 992000001724672) have worn paint resulting in excessive rust of the underlying metal. Exposure to rust may cause illness in animals or prevent adequate cleaning of surfaces. Interior surfaces that come in contact with dogs must be free of excessive rust that prevents the required cleaning and sanitization. To be corrected by 03 September 2026.

• 15-week-old female missing vaccines

  A puppy is missing vaccines on a schedule approved by the attending veterinarian. A 15-week old female puppy "Emily" (microchip: 992000006066068) has not received an initial bordetella or leptospirosis vaccine scheduled to be given at 8 weeks and 12 weeks respectively. Failure to follow the vaccine schedule approved by the attending veterinarian may result in preventable illness of the animal. Dealers must follow an appropriate program of veterinary care approved by the attending veterinarian to include the vaccination schedule for contagious diseases of dogs. Correct by scheduling the approved vaccines to be given. To be corrected by 03 September 2026.
