Each breeder must provide and maintain programs of adequate veterinary care for all dogs in the kennel and use appropriate methods to prevent, control, treat diseases, injures, and assess their health daily. A white wheaten terrier male, identification number 00071968fFB, has matted hair. These mats cover a very big area of the dogs coat. The mats are pulling the hair together leaving areas of skin showing. The mats are around the legs and feet, too. Mats can lead to irritations that can cause open wounds and hots spots that can be very uncomfortable and lead to infection that can harm dogs. The breeder must put into place a good system that addresses the hair coat of each dog in this kennel to ensure that the best health and good care is being provided at all times. The owner must trim this dogs hair coat and remove all mats by 05-31-2017

Excreta must be removed from enclosures daily and more often if needed to prevent an excessive accumulation of feces. Daily cleaning of feces also helps to reduce disease hazards, insects, pests and odors. One of the enclosures in the old kennel housing two dogs, needs to be cleaned at least once a day and more often if needed. The owner must put into place a good cleaning program that cleans all dog enclosures at least once a day and then sanitizes at least twice a month. Owner stated the program in place for this kennel area is cleaning feces three to four times a week. Adequate cleaning can help dogs to stay comfortable and healthy, The owner must clean this kennel enclosure by close of this day. 05-24-2017.

Approximately half of the litters of puppies did not have cage cards and thus were not officially identified. Complete and accurate identification of all dogs and puppies are necessary for proper management and traceability of the animals. Live puppies or kittens, less than 16 weeks of age, shall be identified by: An official tag as described in § 2.51, a distinctive and legible tattoo marking approved by the Administrator, a plastic-type collar acceptable to the Administrator which has legibly placed thereon the information required for an official tag pursuant to Sec. 2.51 or cage card attached to the enclosure that identifies the puppies with the female and to include all required information of the litter. The licensees Record of Acquisition and Dogs on Hand form (APHIS form 7005) is not accurate and up-to-date to reflect the current listing of dogs in the kennel at the time of the inspection. Some dogs listed on the forms are no longer present in the kennel, 4 puppies older than 16 weeks of age are not listed on the form and several dogs purchased months ago are also not listed on the form. Complete and accurate records for all dogs present in the kennel must be maintained in order to ensure that each animal's identity can be known with certainty and to facilitate the movement of animals. The licensee must ensure all of the information required on APHIS form 7005 is recorded for all of the dogs in the kennel. Correct by 5 Jan. 2025
