33 dogs recorded (21 adults · 12 puppies).

  • Sharp wire in outdoor enclosures

There were sharp points present in two separate enclosures. - In the outdoor run portion of a kennel housing two dogs, there was a section of twisted wire attached to a support pole, extending into the enclosure. This point is located at eye level to the enclosed dogs and could cause injury. - In an outdoor enclosure housing two dogs, the shelter access door is surrounded by woven wire. This wire is loose around the entrance door and has multiple sharp points. This is a potential source of injury and/or entrapment to the dogs. Sharp points and edges are a potential source of injury to the enclosed dogs. The sharp points should be removed or repaired by the facility to help ensure the welfare of the enclosed animals.
