What inspectors wrote

August 16, 2024 — Re-license inspection, USDA 48-A-2032

24 dogs recorded (14 adults · 10 puppies).

  • Interior fiberglass wall soiled with feces

There is a mixture of dirt, grease and other excreta accumulating on the interior fiberglass wall board in three enclosures. Five dogs are in contact with the affected surfaces located in sheltered housing. The affected area covers approximately 15 to 30 percent of the interior wall area. Cleaning of surfaces is necessary to prevent an accumulation of excreta and other disease hazards. This indicates an unsanitary living condition exists that could lead to potential disease or health risks. The applicant must ensure that hard surfaces with which the dogs come in contact must be spot cleaned daily and sanitized in accordance with 3.11 (B) of this sub part to prevent accumulation of excreta and reduce disease hazards.

  • Jagged tin insert in enclosure

An estimated six inch in length sheet of tin insert in one enclosure containing two dogs has become detached. The insert was jagged and sharp in appearance and was turned outwards towards the dogs. Jagged edges with sharp points could cause potential injury. The applicant must ensure all primary enclosures be maintained in a manner that there are no sharp points or edges that could injure the dogs.
