- Puppies on raised slatted flooring
One enclosure, housing 3 puppies, has raised slatted flooring. As the puppies moved around the enclosure their feet and legs passed through the openings between the slats. Openings in flooring that are large enough to allow the feet and legs to pass through could cause injury to the dog. Primary enclosures must have floors that are constructed in a manner that protects the dogs' feet and legs from injury, and that, if of mesh or slatted construction, do not allow the dogs' feet to pass through any openings in the floor. The licensee must alter the slatted flooring in a manner that eliminates the ability of the feet and legs of the puppies to pass through the openings. The licensee must ensure the primary enclosures are safe for the dogs at all times. To be corrected by: July 14, 2026
