There was one pet in the whelping facility that was in a kennel that was not tall enough for it. The rule and details were discussed and the pet was moved and compliance was acheived.

there were portions on both covered row-bank kennels that will be need af excessive rust alleviation in a short time. chipping and flaking was present on outside and migrating close to inside the enclosures. it was reminded to the licensee that Painting or sealing is adequate to create water impervious compliant status.

Some kennel panels with rust and pitting temporarily in use as the rust and pitting is at a height of approximately 6ft and not able to be contacted by an animal.

One male dog with a sore/growth on his paw, licensee states he is scheduled to see the vet this afternoon. Inspector requests licensee sends proof of veterinary attention by end of day.

Insufficient shelter from the elements for the size, species and number housed therein. One blue merle and white terrier mix appearing dog observed shivering excessively in outdoor northwest kennel. Shelter shall be provided to allow access to shade from direct sunlight and regress from exposure to wind, rain or snow. Heat, insulation,or clean and dry bedding adequate to provide comfort shall be provided when the atmospheric temperature is below 50° F or the temperature to which the particular animals are acclimated. Dogs and cats that are not acclimated to the temperatures prevalent in the area or region where thay are kept and sick, aged, young or infirm dogs and cats cannot be housed in outdoor facilities. Sufficient shelter must be added within the kennels and dogs not acclimated to the temperatures prevalent must be moved indoors to be compliant by re-inspection on or after November 17, 2023.

Indoor area has been closed up for the winter, a smell of ammonia has begun to form. Licensee was advised to return to using her ventilation system to eliminate the odor, as this area of the facility has previously been compliant.

Strong odor of feces/urine upon arrival to facility.

Clutter in whelping building must be removed or organized in manner to not be accessible to dogs loose within building.

Walls in whelping building have been chewed to expose raw material that is not impervious to moisture.

Enclosures must be cleaned every 24 hours or more frequently as needed.

Water buckets have become excessively chewed/damaged.

The conditions of facility indicate current number of dogs may be too high for one individual to care for.

Ammonia odor observed across property.

Insufficient personnel.

Expired vaccinations on all adult dogs.
