Wardens noted humidity levels above 70% in the kennel buildings during this inspection.

Wardens viewed records indicating that the kennel owner did not have all of the dogs in the kennel examined by a veterinarian within 6 months of the last exam.

Wardens viewed multiple water bowls throughout the kennel facility that had non-potable green water from algae growth indicating they have not been cleaned in accordance with this section.

In the small kennel building this Warden and Veterinarian viewed multiple enclosures which had flooring that was missing the vinyl coating and were rusted.

In the small kennel building this Warden and Veterinarian viewed multiple water buckets that were dirty and had a buildup of residue on the bottom indicating they were not being kept clean.

In the small kennel building this Warden and Veterinarian viewed an accumulation of excreta in multiple primary enclosures that housed dogs which indicates the excreta was not removed at least once daily. Additionally, there was an extremely large build-up of excreta under all outside exercise areas in the small kennel building.

In the small kennel building this Warden and Veterinarian viewed a buildup of excreta, dirt, and hair on the floor of several primary enclosures. Additionally, there was a large buildup of hair that was attached to the roof surface of several primary enclosures inside the primary enclosure areas.

In the small kennel building this Warden and Veterinarian viewed the presence of rusted metal in the exercise area that contained dogs as well as a significant build-up of excreta under the outside exercise area that contained dogs.

Additionally, in the small kennel building this Warden and Veterinarian viewed sharp protruding metal dividers in one outdoor exercise enclosure that housed dogs.

There were 8 adult dogs in the small kennel building that were not listed on the kennel records.

There were 8 adult dogs in the small kennel building that did not have proper bills of sale from the previous owner when they were transferred in to the kennel. Kennel owner could not provide bills of sale.

There was one adult dog located in the small kennel building that had an expired rabies certificate.

This Warden and Veterinarian observed several dogs in the small kennel building which were matted and in general poor health. A cruelty referral was made to the Pennsylvania SPCA for these dogs.

In the small kennel building this Warden and Veterinarian, noted temperature readings of 36 degrees which is 14 degrees lower than the minimum required by statute.

In the small kennel building this Warden and Veterinarian did not view any smoke alarms or any means of fire suppression.

In the small kennel building this Warden and Veterinarian viewed an accumulation of excreta, hair, dirt, and food on all surfaces of all primary enclosures that housed dogs.

In the small kennel building this Warden and Veterinarian viewed an accumulation of excreta, hair, dirt, and food on all surfaces of all primary enclosures that housed dogs which indicates the primary enclosures were not sanitized at least once every two weeks.

There were 8 adult dogs in the small kennel building that were not listed on the kennel records. The same dogs were also not listed on the 6 month vet check.

There were 3 dogs in an enclosure that were not provided the required minimum amount of floor space in a primary enclosure in the small kennel building.

There were 3 dogs in an enclosure that were not provided the required minimum amount of exercise area in the small kennel building.

In the small kennel building this Warden and Veterinarian viewed the presence of rusted metal in the exercise area that contained dogs.

There was also a sharp metal divider panel that was protruding into one exercise area that could injure the dogs housed within.

In the small kennel building this Warden and Veterinarian viewed multiple exercise areas that were not on ground level. They were raised and on metal strand flooring.

The veterinary exam was conducted by a veterinarian for all dogs in the main kennel building. There were 8 adult dogs in the small kennel building that were not examined by the veterinarian at least every 6 months.

This Warden was unable to view a written certification for the kennels ventilation system sealed by a professional engineer in the small kennel building.

The kennel owner complied with the 72 hour vet check ordered during this inspection.

The kennel owner complied with a 48 hour veterinary check following this inspection.

Wardens viewed primary enclosures which housed dogs that had an accumulation of debris, excreta, and hair.

Wardens viewed an accumulation of excreta, dirt, hair, and grime throughout the kennel building and the grounds surrounding the kennel.

Warden's viewed multiple dogs to have overgrown fur that was mildly matted.

This warden observed 1 adult dog that did not have current rabies vaccinations.

Wardens viewed humidity data history taken by the data reader located in one of the kennel buildings having multiple days with humidity readings under 30%.

A veterinary examination was ordered on a dog under section 402(a) based on warden’s observations of the condition of dogs during inspection. Kennel is in compliance with section 402(d) because veterinary examination was completed within the 72-hour time frame.
