Licensee had not followed the Program of Veterinary Care (POV) that required a yearly heartworm test to be conducted. Lack of yearly heartworm testing could allow for an undiagnosed parasitic infection with serious complications or cause death of the dog. Licensee must follow the guidance provided by the POV to ensure diagnostic and preventative measures are adhered to for the health of the animal.
