  • Dogs with excessively long nails

    Some dogs were observed with excessively long nails. This condition can cause injury to the dogs if they become caught in the wire flooring. The dogs nails need to be trimmed more often in order to prevent this issue. *******Correct by March 15, 2018

  • Rodent droppings in dog building

    Rodent droppings were observed in the most of the corners in the sheltered dog building. Pets can harbor diseases and this contamination of the area can potentially cause the dogs to become ill. An effective program to prevent pests must be developed and maintained in order to prevent pests from entering the animal areas. ************Correct by March 15, 2018

  • Pest droppings, uncovered drain near food storage

    An accumulation of pest droppings was observed around the food storage containers in the breeder building. A hole which allows for drainage of the wash downs was noted in this area without a cover. Vermin can contribute to the spread of disease and can have a negative affect on the health of the dogs. The licensee does have a pest control system in place, however it not sufficiently managing pests. Drainage systems must be constructed in a manner which minimizes vermin and pest infestations. The licensee must correct this issue. ******Correct by April 1, 2021

  • Male Standard Poodle matted coat

    A male standard poodle was observed with matted hair. The head, neck and body had recently been clipped, however all four legs and feet were matted. Matted hair can become painful as it has the potential to lift and pull on the underlying skin. Allowing the hair on a dog to become matted does not constitute proper veterinary care. The licensee must ensure clipping is routinely completed in order to prevent matted hair coats on the dogs. *******Correct by 4/27/2023

  • Jagged chain-link wire protruding

    Jagged wire was observed at the bottom of the chain link wire divider which was between two enclosures. Jagged wire protruding into enclosures could possibly allow the dogs to become injured. Facilities must be kept in good repair. The licensee must correct this issue. *********Correct by March 15, 2023
