Ann Allison – Rockin A Kennel

The divider fence between two enclosures on the south side of the "blue kennel" building is rusted that has resulted in a hole approximately 4"X4" as well as some wire points. This hole could allow dogs to pass through it and the wire points could cause injury to the dogs. All housing facilities must be constructed in a manner so dogs are securely contained and protected from injury. Correct by 4 Sept. 2014.

In the indoor portion of one dog enclosure of the "blue trailer" there are areas where the paint has been scratched off the walls, there is a gap between the flooring material and the wall and a portion of the material on the wall is pulled away from the wall. All of these areas allow for the accumulation of dirt, debris and disease causing organisms. All surfaces must be constructed in a manner that allows them to be readily cleaned and sanitized. Correct by 18 August 2014.

The lower metal pipes of two enclosure gates of the Shiba Inu enclosures are rusted to the point where one corner joint is not secure and in the other there is rusted jagged edges. These conditions may cause injury to the dogs or the dogs may not be securely contained. All surfaces must be free of excessive rust that affects the structural strength of the surfaces. This was corrected at the time of the inspection.

There are no acquisition records for the 8 puppies currently housed in the kennel. Adequate records are essential for the tracking and identification of all animals present in the kennel. Acquisition records must be completed for these puppies as well as future puppies and adults added. Correct by 29 Sept. 2015.

The paint on the outside wall of the west kennel building is wearing off exposing the unsealed wood underneath. Unsealed wood may not be adequately sanitized and can harbor disease-causing organisms. This wooden wall must be made impervious to moisture and measures must be in place to ensure all surfaces in contact with the dogs are also impervious to moisture. Correct by 23 October 2015.
