There is a section of chain link fence in the exercise yard that is not secured at the base of the fence and is creating a gap in the section of fence.

There are also several fence panels in the yard leaning up against the side of the building.

There was an abundance of flies in the sheltered portion of the kennel. The facility had fly strips that they have not put up yet to mitigate the number of flies in the area. An effective program for the control of insects, affecting dogs must be established and maintained so as to promote the health and well-being of the animals and reduce contamination by pests in animal areas. One wire mesh puppy enclosure had a small section of wire mesh floor that is not connected to the side wire creating a gap in the floor. This needs to be addressed to keep the enclosure in good repair for the safety of the puppies. Correct by: Feb 14, 2024

The inside enclosure runs are not being spot cleaned daily. The facility has been using sawdust on in the inside enclosure floors and is removing the feces and sawdust every three days. Fecal waste must be removed from primary enclosures daily to prevent soiling of the dogs and for their welfare. Correct by: Feb 8, 2024

There are tools and other miscellaneous items (magic eraser sponge) being stored directly on top of wire mesh puppy enclosures. One puppy was playing with the sponge which could cause harm if potentially ingested.

The table along the wall had food items and dental chews stored next to various husbandry supplies and general clutter.

Rabies Vaccine Certificate not provoided for "Sam" tricolor adult intact male beagle. Per Article 26A, 401.5 (b) and Article 35D, 753-A.2 All animals shall be inoculated for Rabies as required by state or local law.

Annual health exam not provoided for "Sam" tricolor adult intact male beagle. Per Article 26A, 401.5 (c), (vi) and Article 35D, 753-A.1 Within 5 business days of reciept, but prior to sale of any dog or cat, a duly licensed veterinarian shall conduct an examination and tests appropriate to the age/breed to determine if animal has any medical conditions apparent at time of exam that adversely affect the health of the animal. Annual veterinary exams required (at minimum) for all intact adult dogs or cats on premises.

Per Article 7, 109.1 (a) and Article 35D, 753b.2 (f) Notification that dogs residing in New York State must be licensed, and that a license may be obtained from the municipality in which the dog resides. All counties require licensing with the exception of NYC and its boroughs.
