  • Weaned puppies with empty water bowls

    There were 4 enclosures housing weaned puppies with empty water bowls. Two of the four enclosures had overturned water bowls from puppies playing with the bowls. Licensee stated that the puppies are offered water 4 times a day. Potable water must be continuously available for dogs unless restricted by the attending veterinarian. Failure to provide water continuously or prevent water receptacles from remaining upright for dogs/puppies could allow the animals to become thirsty. Licensee must provide water continuously to the dogs/puppies and prevent water receptacles from overturning. Correct by May 16, 2023.
