The facility did not identify the issue prior to the inspection. An approximately 9 week old female Springer Doodle (#8076) was found to have two abrasions near the vulva measuring approximately ½ inch. The outer edges of the abrasions were irregular, pink with crusting, and the inside appeared moist. The facility states the animal did not appear to be irritated by the site. Failure to conduct adequate daily observations to assess the health and well-being of the animals with direct and frequent communication to the attending veterinarian can delay treatment leading to the condition getting worse and delays in healing. Each dealer shall establish and maintain programs of adequate veterinary care that include daily observation of all animals to assess their health and well-being and that a mechanism of direct and frequent communication is required so that timely and accurate information on problems of animal health, behavior, and well-being is conveyed to the attending veterinarian."}],"si":1}]}
