During this inspection wardens observed chewed wood and bent wire within the primary enclosure of the kennel.

Wardens observed interior building surfaces with rust chewed/scratched unsealed wood and unsealed concrete within the primary enclosures.

Wardens noted that there was a lack of air flow in the barn area where the dogs were being kept.

Wardens observed cobwebs, bees nests, and bird droppings in and around the primary kennel area where the dogs will be kept.

Kennel owner did not possess accurate and complete records for puppies sold within the kennel.

The Kennel owner was unable to provide this warden with a Bill of Sale for a dog he purchased and currently residing within the kennel.

The kennel owner was unable to provide this Warden with a health certificate for a dog purchased from Indiana.

Veterinary examinations were ordered on 1 dogs- a Female English Bulldog with a cloudy right eye that wasn't present 3 months prior - under section 402(a) based on warden’s observations of the condition of dogs during an inspection. Kennel is in compliance with section 402(d) because veterinary examinations were completed within the 72 hour time frame.

Veterinary examinations were ordered on 1 adult dog- a male Samoyed type breed dog favoring the right front leg /paw - under section 402(a) based on warden’s observations of the condition of dogs during an inspection. Kennel is in compliance with section 402(d) because veterinary examinations were completed within the 72 hour time frame.

During inspection of the kennel records it was discovered that a dog purchased from out of state and imported to Pennsylvania was not accompanied by a health certificate. Warden advised kennel owner to do the following: It shall be unlawful to transport any dog into this Commonwealth except under the provision in section 212 without a certificate of health prepared by a licensed doctor of veterinary medicine, which certificate, or copy of such, shall accompany such dog while in this Commonwealth. Such certificate shall state that the dog is at lease eight weeks of age and shows no signs or symptoms of infections or communicable disease; did not originate within an area under quarantine for rabies; and, as ascertained by a reasonable investigation, has not been exposed to rabies within 100 days of importations. All dogs must have been vaccinated for rabies in accordance with the act of December 15, 1986 (P.L.1610, No. 181), known as the “Rabies Prevention and Control in Domestic Animals and Wildlife Act.” The name of the vaccine manufacturer, the date of administration, and the rabies tag number must appear on health certificates prepared by a licensed doctor of veterinary medicine The kennel will be re-inspected at a later date and time.
