This Warden observed one adult dog that did not have a current rabies vaccination.

Wardens viewed that the Kennel owner violated the kennel’s license type and failed to obtain the correct license for the types and volume of business being conducted.

A written certification under the signature and seal of a professional engineer was not present.

There was no written program of veterinary care for the kennel.

Wardens observed that there were several areas of the kennel which did not have both a smoke alarm and a means of fire suppression.

Wardens were not able to view records for each dog containing the date of each dog’s last veterinary check.

This warden viewed dogs housed in primary enclosures outdoors and in the barn which were below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Wardens observed an accumulation of dust and cobwebs on the tops of the primary enclosures.

Wardens observed incomplete records for adult dogs being kept in the kennel.

Wardens observed there was no bills of sale for one dog (Noodle) that had recently been transferred into EIchenluft kennel from Ritner Kennel – which is a boarding kennel.

Wardens observed the kennel did not have the Kennel License Refusal displayed in a conspicuous location.

Wardens observed that the kennel has not complied with the Kennel Refusal Order dated November 27, 2019 and the Notice of Operating Under Suspension of Kennel License dated December 18, 2019 and has continued to sell dogs and bring dogs into the kennel.

After thorough review of the records, wardens determined the kennel owner was missing a health certificate.

After thorough review of kennel records, online research and a search warrant performed on October 25, 2021, after the inspection, wardens determined that the kennel owner surpassed the kennel’s license class (Kennel Class II) and failed to obtain the correct license for the volume of business being conducted. There was a puppy which had deceased after a week which was not dated on records and an additional dog bought into the kennel which had not been recorded. On or about September 25, 2021, the kennel exceeded the number of dogs on premises allowed by the kennel class II (51-100 dogs of any age during a calendar year) held and did not apply for an upgraded kennel license to a kennel class III, which the kennel is now operating.

At the time of inspection, two dogs had left the kennel and new owner information was not filled in, wardens requested the records be filled in during the inspection.

After the kennel inspection it was discovered that an additional dog named Aura had entered the kennel without being recorded on the kennels records.

A puppy had been crossed off the records as deceased without a date to indicate how long the dog survived.

Wardens observed an outside enclosure with one large shed which had no door on it allowing the cold air to enter and one small insulated box which all three (3) dogs in the enclosure would not be able to fit inside. The kennel owner added an additional box to the enclosure during the inspection.

Wardens observed records which were not kept current for dogs entering and leaving the kennel for breeding services.

The kennel owner was missing several rabies vaccination certificates or waivers for dogs in the kennel.

The kennel owner did have import passports containing rabies vaccination information, but the vaccination given was not listed in the Rabies Compendium as required.

Wardens did not view bills of sale for 2 dogs brought in to the kennel.

Wardens did not view a health certificate for one dog brought into the kennel from New Jersey.
