The required vaccines are for distemper and parvovirus (which make up the "7 way" vaccine) and rabies. These are contagious viruses which could cause illness, discomfort, or even death if contracted. The facility must ensure that vaccinations for contagious or deadly diseases such as distemper, parvovirus, and rabies are performed according to a schedule approved by the attending veterinarian.
