- Yorkshire Terrier left ear swollen
A female Yorkshire Terrier ID #83 was seen with a head tilt, and occasional head shake. Upon closer observation noticed the entire left ear flap was about 3/4 inch thick and felt like the ear flap was full of fluid. This abnormal appearing area could be the result of injury, infection or a variety of veterinary medical conditions which may be painful. The licensee must consult a veterinarian in order to ensure that accurate diagnoses are obtained and appropriate treatment plans are developed and followed. The licensee must ensure that all animals receive adequate veterinary care at all times. To be corrected by 24 Apr 2023.
- Feces buildup in outdoor runs
In approximately 10 enclosures housing approximately 24 dogs, there was an excess build up of feces inside the outdoor portion of the enclosures. The facility representative stated he cleaned the outside portion of the enclosures about 2 days prior to the inspection. A build up of feces is a disease hazard and can attract pest. The licensee must ensure all surfaces which come in contact with the dogs and puppies are spot cleaned daily. To be corrected by 24 Apr 2023.
