Looking for a Mastiff breeder? Glossy websites and cute puppy photos make it hard to know what a kennel is really like. Pawthenticity is a nonprofit that collects public government inspection records into free, searchable breeder profiles, so you can see what inspectors found before you bring a Mastiff home.
Pawthenticity tracks 23 licensed kennels that breed Mastiffs. They average 65 dogs of all breeds, and the largest has 430. More than half (13 kennels, or 57%) have been cited by inspectors, for 297 citations in total. The kennels are in 8 states, mostly Missouri (8), Iowa (4), Pennsylvania (3), Indiana (3) and Ohio (2). Hobby and unlicensed breeders aren't included.
