Looking for a Shichon breeder? Glossy websites and cute puppy photos make it hard to know what a kennel is really like. Pawthenticity is a nonprofit that collects public government inspection records into free, searchable breeder profiles, so you can see what inspectors found before you bring a Shichon home.
Pawthenticity tracks 7 licensed kennels that breed Shichons. They average 129 dogs of all breeds, and the largest has 399. 3 kennels (43%) have been cited by inspectors, for 64 citations in total. The kennels are in 6 states, mostly Iowa (2), New York (1), Ohio (1), Indiana (1) and Pennsylvania (1). Hobby and unlicensed breeders aren't included.
