- Boxer with swollen tissue between toes (Repeat)
A female Boxer #097-284-302 had a rasied, reddened, swelling in betwen her toes on her front left paw. The tissue in between the toes was swollen and enlarged to about the length of the outer toes and about 1/2" wide. It was displacing the normal configuration of the toes. Rasied, abnormal appearing areas and sores on the feet could be the result of injury, infection or a variety of veterinary medical conditions which may be painful. The licensee must consult with a licensed veterinarian in order to ensure that accurate diagnoses are obtained and appropriate treatment plans are developed and followed. The licensee must ensure that all animals receive adequate veterinary care at all times.

(a) (2) Primary enclosures (x) Flooring *** Inside the whelping building, there was one enclosure housing 4 small breed puppies and dam. The flooring was 1" x 1" coated wire and the puppies' feet and legs were observed falling through the openings in the flooring. The animals' feet and legs falling through the openings in the enclosure floor could cause injury. The licensee must ensure that appropriate flooring is used to prevent the animals' feet from passing through the openings in the floor.
