Several enclosures had areas where the impervious surfacing was chewed or broken to expose the wood underneath. This makes the surface hard to clean and sanitize. The chewed edges provide an area where dirt and organisms can accumulate. All surfaces must be maintained on a regular basis and those that cannot be readily cleaned and sanitized, must be replaced when worn. Correct by: 30 April 2015

The outdoor portions of the enclosures had accumulation of feces and in two kennels the dogs had become soiled by feces from the enclosure. Excreta must be removed from primary enclosures daily to prevent soiling of the dogs. Correct By: 8 April 2015

There are 2 Husky puppies identified on today's inspection that were housed in primary enclosures that did not provide the dogs with 6 inches above their head while they were sitting or standing fully erect within their enclosure. Not having a sufficient amount of space can cause unnecessary stress and/or discomfort for the dogs. The interior height of all primary enclosure, containing adults or puppies, must be at least 6 inches higher than the head of the tallest dog in the enclosure when it is in a normal standing position. Wardens viewed that one dog was not current on its rabies vaccination.

There were 6 dogs over 16 weeks of age that did not have any means of identification on the animals or enclosures such as a collar and tag, tattoo, or microchip. Lack of appropriate identification can result in a failure of animals to be tracked, maintained, and treated on an individual basis and an inability to meet recordkeeping requirements for inventory, disposition, and healthcare documentation. A class A dealer (breeder) must identify all dogs on the premises by an official tag and collar, tattoo, or microchip. Correct by: April 9, 2020

A male red and white Welsh Corgi, date of birth 5/22/17 and ID number 048, had a health condition requiring diagnosis and treatment in consultation with the attending veterinarian. There was a moderate build-up of hard whitish brown material on the surface of the cheek teeth especially along the upper part of the teeth near the gum line. The gums did not appear red or swollen and the dog was in good body condition. The medical records indicate the veterinarian performed a physical exam on 4/21/21 and did not include any abnormalities documented. The Program of Veterinary Care on file did not address the condition or provide any treatment options. The licensee had not observed the condition and had not contacted the attending veterinarian. The abnormal build-up of material on the teeth can cause damage to the gum tissue and tooth structures. This condition could be painful, may decrease the dog's ability to eat normally, and may result in spread of bacteria to other parts of the body such as liver and kidneys which can negatively impact the overall health of the animal. The licensee must communicate with the attending veterinarian to evaluate the dog and determine an appropriate plan for diagnosis and treatment. Correct by: August 9, 2021

Wardens viewed that the kennel owners puppy sales records were not up to date.

Warden viewed that 2 dogs were not current on their rabies vaccination.

Warden viewed that the kennel owner had not completed a veterinary exam in the last 6 months.

Warden viewed that at the time of arrival none of the ventilation system equipment was on.

Warden viewed that the kennel had a significant amount of readings about 70% humidity.

Wardens viewed that two dogs were heavily matted and some had minor matting.
