- Kennel licensed wrong class
The kennel operator failed to obtain the appropriate type and class of kennel license. In 2025, this Kennel Class II license holder that bred and whelped dogs and transferred ownership of 75 dogs exceeded its transfer threshold by fifteen (15) dogs in 2025. The kennel subsequently applied for the same Kennel Class II license in 2026, although section 206(a)(1) requires the license to be determined by the number transferred in or by the kennel during the previous year. Thus the appropriate license type would be a Kennel Class C license for the remainder of 2025 and 2026.
- Did not apply for Class C
The kennel operator, who bred and whelped dogs transferred ownership of 75 dogs in the 2025 calendar year under its Kennel Class II license type, fifteen (15) dogs over the limit for K Class Kennels that breed or whelp dogs. The kennel owner failed to apply for the appropriate Kennel Class C license type within seven (7) days of the increase.

The kennel operator who bred and whelped dogs transferred ownership of 75 dogs in the 2025 calendar year under its Kennel Class II license type; fifteen (15) dogs over the limit for K Class Kennels that breed or whelp.
