Looking for a Rottweiler breeder? Glossy websites and cute puppy photos make it hard to know what a kennel is really like. Pawthenticity is a nonprofit that collects public government inspection records into free, searchable breeder profiles, so you can see what inspectors found before you bring a Rottweiler home.
Pawthenticity tracks 38 licensed kennels that breed Rottweilers. They average 100 dogs of all breeds, and the largest has 422. More than half (22 kennels, or 58%) have been cited by inspectors, for 277 citations in total. The kennels are in 9 states, mostly Missouri (10), Ohio (9), Pennsylvania (5), Iowa (5) and Indiana (3). Hobby and unlicensed breeders aren't included.
