Looking for a Bulldog breeder? Glossy websites and cute puppy photos make it hard to know what a kennel is really like. Pawthenticity is a nonprofit that collects public government inspection records into free, searchable breeder profiles, so you can see what inspectors found before you bring a Bulldog home.
Pawthenticity tracks 42 licensed kennels that breed Bulldogs. They average 70 dogs of all breeds, and the largest has 430. More than half (29 kennels, or 69%) have been cited by inspectors, for 682 citations in total. The kennels are in 12 states, mostly Iowa (7), Ohio (7), Pennsylvania (6), Missouri (4) and Indiana (4). Hobby and unlicensed breeders aren't included.
